Anna Hunter is a graduate student at UW-Madison for a 15-month MS in Curriculum and Instruction. My goal is to be a high school history teacher. I graduated from Wellesley College Spring 2019 with a degree is East Asian Studies.
I have a passion for Chinese language and culture, and have visited China several times, including a semester in southwest China, a summer internship with ABC News in Beijing, and a short water development project. I toodled all over the county, accidentally falling into rice paddies, and crashing local funeral dinners. Check my Facebook album Semester Under the Clouds for details and photos.
My interest in education grows from teaching English as a second language in Boston’s Chinatown, and from two summers with Project Transformation in Dallas and Indianapolis working with immigrant and inner-city children.
Photography is my hobby. My “baby” is an Olympus OMD EM10 mii digital camera. Together we’ve explored China, California, Route 66, Wisconsin, Maine, and more.
